Sample and Artwork Approval Policy

Samples and artwork approvals help confirm product selection, logo placement and branding before bulk production.

Digital Mock-ups

A digital mock-up may be prepared to show approximate logo size, position and colour. Screen colours and mock-ups are visual references and can differ slightly from the finished product because of material, printing method and device display.

Physical Samples

Physical samples can be arranged for many products. Sample, branding, development and courier charges depend on the item and are confirmed before work begins. A sample may use available stock colour or material when an exact production sample is not practical.

Approval Responsibility

The buyer must carefully check spelling, logo, dimensions, placement, colour reference, product model, packaging text and quantity before written approval. Production follows the latest written approval supplied to Merch Story.

Production Tolerances

Minor variation can occur between a sample and bulk production, and between individual pieces, due to fabric, material batch, printing, embroidery, engraving and manufacturing processes. Reasonable industry tolerances are not treated as defects.

Changes After Approval

Changes requested after approval may require a new sample, revised cost and a new timeline. Work already completed or material already procured may be chargeable.

Do not approve artwork until every name, number, spelling and logo element has been checked by the responsible buyer.
